Will summer ever arrive?

Snoqualmie Pass, June 10th

So far we've had the coldest June on record here in Seattle. As much as a foot of snow fell last night in the mountains; we just got rain and wind in the city. Everyone is getting pretty sick of this...

I got a brief respite from the unseasonable weather this past weekend by visiting comparatively sauna-like Minnesota. For those of you I was lucky enough to spend some time with - thanks for a fun weekend!

Dude - take some of Vermont's summer! Today was 95 degrees with over 80% humidity. Ugh.

Matt, I heard about your heat wave - sounds pretty nasty too. I'm not sure which one is worse...

More rain in Minnesota! No snow, but the northern tier has been in the 40s.

Now the big news here has been about some day-hikers who got stuck at 10,000 ft on Mt. Rainier a couple days ago. There was a blizzard that came out of nowhere (6 ft of snow, 70+ mph winds). One of them died, the others had to be rescued by some climbers who knew what they were doing.
